Rocky Mountain Angling Club wants every angler — members, prospective members, and landowners — to be able to use this site, whatever technology they browse with. We treat accessibility as part of the craft of the site, not a compliance checkbox bolted on at the end.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the standard we design, build, and review against.

This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and we are actively remediating the gaps. Partially conformant means most of the site meets the standard, but some content does not yet.

Known areas we are still working on include colour contrast on a small number of photographic and animated backgrounds, alternative text coverage across the full photography library, and the third-party surfaces our member flows depend on. Where a page embeds or links out to AnglerPass — applications, dues, reservations, and the member community — that experience is controlled by AnglerPass rather than by us, and we cannot warrant its conformance.

The site is keyboard navigable end to end, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive control and a “skip to content” link as the first stop on every page. Landmarks, headings, and form labels are exposed to assistive technology.

Animation respects your system settings: with “reduce motion” enabled, the ambient hero video and the drifting backgrounds do not play, and page transitions resolve immediately. The site also responds to reduced-transparency and increased-contrast preferences, and text scales with your browser’s font-size setting rather than overriding it.

You do not have to change a system setting to stop the motion: a “Pause motion” button sits in the bottom-left corner of every page that has any, and it halts the drifting hero photography, the ambient video, and the animated backgrounds until you start them again.

If something on this site blocks you, please tell us — a specific report is the fastest route to a fix. Include the page address and what you were trying to do, and let us know what you are browsing with if you can.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within five business days and to tell you what we intend to do about the issue and when. If we cannot fix something quickly, we will offer another way to get you the information or complete what you were doing — including handling it by phone.
