Rocky Mountain Angling Club (RMAC) provides exceptional fishing on under-fished, uncrowded waters.
Member Intelligence from the Water
A place for members to share observations, insights, and experiences from our waters. Each property has its own thread. Contribute reports, ask questions, and learn from fellow anglers.
Inside the Streamside community, members share real-time insights from the water. Discussions include:
- Current hatches on club properties
- Water clarity and flow conditions
- Productive fly patterns
- Access updates from private ranch waters
- Recent catches and trip photos
Many members check Streamside before heading out for the day. It is often the fastest way to know what is happening on the river right now.
Recent conversations inside Streamside include:
(A-11) Big Thompson River @ Sylvandale
The river is still at winter flows but is ice-free. Nymphing using mayfly and midge patterns has been the most consistent method. Coffee and black Pat’s Rubberleg is always a great option in the really deep holes. We should see hatches of BWO’s in the afternoons, which will continue to pick up throughout the month.
(A-13) Mother Lake
The lake is ice free and fishing is good. Sight fishing has been good for fish cruising the shoreline. Either small minnow or leach patterns have been best
(C-56) Yampa River
Property has re-opened with new boundaries. Fishing has been consistent throughout this winter.
These real-time insights are shared by members fishing the water every week.
Members often say the Streamside community is one of the most valuable parts of the club. It allows anglers to:
- Learn from experienced fly fishers
- See current fishing reports from club waters
- Ask questions about techniques or gear
- Connect with other members who fish the same rivers
For many anglers, Streamside becomes the place they check before every trip to the water.
- Keep posts specific to the property thread you’re contributing to.
