A-2 Fourmile Creek

This 2-mile section is located south of Fairplay off Hwy 285. Lots of beaver ponds make this 6-10 foot wide creek a wild brown haven. Take your kids and your 3 weight.

A-3 Arkansas River, Gold Camp

Approximately one mile of this year round river, located 20 miles south of Leadville and 12.5 miles north of Buena Vista on Hwy 24 consists of long runs, riffles and pocket water. Browns and rainbows in excess of 18 inches have been reported. Lightly rafted with occasional kayakers.

A-4 Lake Fork of the Arkansas River

Less than 2 hours west of Denver. Approximately 3/4 mile of the Lake Fork of the Arkansas River, plus another 3/4 mile on Rock and Willow Creeks. This tailwater of Turquoise Lake, located 4 miles southwest of Leadville, averages 25 feet in width and offers one of the most spectacular vistas of all our tracts. Good population of Browns to 18 inches. Rock and Willow Creeks are much smaller and offer heavy willow cover and some beaver pond type water.

A-5 Shawnee Lake

A 6 acre lake located west of Bailey, CO on Hwy 285 is full of browns and freshwater Donaldson Steelheads that will put a curve in your 5-6 weight rod. They range up to 20 inches. Like most stillwater, Shawnee Lake is best fished from a float tube but can be fished from the shore in certain spots.

A-6 Arkansas River at Wellsville

This one and a half mile section is divided into two beats just 7 miles east of Salida. We share this property with Ark Anglers Fly Shop and only have access to the Hwy 50 side of this 60-90 foot wide, moderately moving stream. Rainbows and browns to 19 inches love to eat Blue Winged Olives and Caddis drys in the spring, and Stoneflies, PMD’s and Terrestrials until the BWO’s return in the fall. Riffles, runs and deep pools make this a wade fisherman’s dream.

A-7 Tarryall Creek

Four plus miles of Upper Tarryall Creek, averaging 10 feet in width. Endless bends and runs with deep holes and cutbanks. Browns are dominant and range to over 16 inches. Easy stream to fish with dries. A tremendous fish population for its size. Great for kids.

A-8 Tarryall Creek

An outstanding 4 mile section below Tarryall Reservoir, beginning just below the bridge, only one and a half hours southwest of Denver. The property offers rocky pocket water to a winding meadow stream.  Throughout are browns and rainbows in the 10-18 inch size, and some even larger. A good dry fly stream with intense summer hatches and consistent clear flows.

A-9 Fourmile Creek at Cripple Creek

One and three quarter miles of willow lined 10-20 foot wide creek offers seclusion and a profusion of wild browns to 13 inches with an occasional large resident brown. Fish will willingly take dry flies.

A-10 Tarryall Creek on Lazy River Ranch

This creek traverses a mile and a half of willow dotted meadow and has an amazingly varied habitat ideal for trout. A textbook creek with pools, riffles, flats, cutbanks, runs and pocket water. Browns and rainbows from 8-12 inches with larger trout in the prime lies. A-10 is 4 miles downstream of our A-8 property and also has some big pike waiting for your 8 weight and streamers.

A-12 & A-14 Middle and Lower Michigan Creek

This 10 foot wide creek is one mile on A-12 and a strong 2 miles on A-14 of grass banks, riffles and a multitude of deep bend pools which create a great habitat for browns, rainbows and a few brookies from 7-12 inches with an occasional 16 incher. Located near Jefferson on Hwy 285. Ideal for youngsters, beginning fly fishers and old pros.

A-15 Silver Valley Lake

Less than an hour west of Denver on Hwy 6 near Silver Plume, this beautiful 4 acre, spring fed, meadow lake is loaded with Snake River cutthroats, rainbows and Donaldson steelheads. These are truly hefty fish (including brookies to 17 inches) that will perform tail walking acrobatics to shake your fly. Great for kids

A-16 North Fork of the Big Thompson

This 1 mile of 10-15 foot wide creek is located about one and a half hours north of Denver near Drake, CO. The rainbow and browns run 7 to 13 inches with the occasional 16 inch or larger fish. Rare brookies or greenback cutthroats that have washed down from Rocky Mountain National Park are also possibilities.

A-17 Clear Creek

A tailwater of Georgetown Reservoir located 2 1/2 miles north of Georgetown on the frontage road, approximately 1 hour west of Denver. A proliferation of Browns, cutthroats, brookies and rainbows to 19 inches. A-17 encompasses 1/2 mile of creek. It is known for its good holes and winter fishing.

A-18 Empire Lake

Approximately 40 minutes west of Denver, this lake is located just south of Hwy 40 at the town of Empire. This beautiful 5 acre lake is perfect for float tubes. Browns, brookies and big rainbows abound.

A-19 Big Thompson River

One half mile of this 30-40 foot wide renowned river provides ample opportunity to catch wild browns and rainbows in the 8-14 inch range with an occasional lunker possible. Pocket water dominates with long flats and two deep holes. Located one and a half hours from Denver. Two cabins are available on the river.

A-20 Arkansas River above Big Bend

RMAC has added another mile of the Arkansas about 1/2 mile above the Big Bend area. The waster is a combination of riffles and runs with areas of pocket water. The list of aquatic insects are numerous and abundant. An easy wade by Arkansas River standards, we still recommend a wading staff and wading boots with cleats. Club members have access to both sides of river, however the only way to access the East side is when the river is at low levels.

A-21 Tarryall Creek

Don’t be fooled by this short (0.4 mile) stretch of Tarryall Creek. This property has a variance of trout habitat, riffles, runs, deep pools and undercut banks offering the trout great hiding places. The Rodman Ranch has great bug life so don’t forget your crane flies!
