RMAC Rules & Regulations
Property Directory - Each member will receive a custom three-ring binder containing detailed maps, directions, property descriptions, property rules, and rates for each property. Also included is a copy of your membership agreement, club rules, regulations, and policies, and a supply of reservation cards and guest agreement forms. If lost, binders can be replaced for $25.
Catch and Release Fishing - Most club waters are managed to provide the largest possible population of big, wild trout. Therefore, catch and release fishing is the policy at most club properties. However, at some properties, fishermen may keep trophy fish. Also, you can keep all the brookies that the law allows, but the emphasis is on catch and release. Regulations for each tract are described in the property directory and are frequently more stringent than state regulations.
Flies and Lures Only - Fishing is restricted to single-barb or barbless flies on most club waters. Metallic and plastic lures with barbless hooks are permitted on some waters for adults and on more waters for adolescent and child anglers. Bait fishing is not permitted.
Limits on Number of Anglers - To assure the highest quality experience, a limited number of anglers are permitted on each property. A somewhat larger number is allowed if all fishermen are part of a single group.
Fishing by Reservation Only - To fish, you must first obtain an authorization number from our reservation office. The number is to be filled in on your personalized reservation card, along with the property number and date or dates of the reservation. The reservation card must be prominently displayed on the dash of your vehicle while parked at the fishing area. To ensure a quality fishing experience, any person on the property without authorization will be guilty of trespass and, if apprehended, will be aggressively prosecuted.
Reservation Limits - Reservations will be accepted for groups of two or more for any date or consecutive dates during the season. However, to give everyone a chance to fish all waters, only one unused reservation can be in effect at any given time.
Reservation Fee - A $5, non-refundable fee is charged each time you make a reservation, regardless of the number of days fished or the number of people in the group.
Day Rate Charges - RMAC charges are generally based on a day-use rate. Daily rates vary from $40/day to $110/day, with an average of $60/day. Young people, age 13-17, are given a discount, and children 12 and under are free at most properties.
Afternoon Rates - Those wishing to fish after 12:00 noon are given 25-50% discounts on most properties. However, reservations for the afternoon rates will be confirmed only after 12:00 on the preceding day.
Manner of Payment - Payment is due when the reservation is made. Members are encouraged to provide a credit card number (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover) and authorization to charge by phone.
Reservation Cancellation - Full refund of day rate charges will be made if a reservation is cancelled more than 48 hours in advance of the first reservation date. A 50% refund will be provided if the cancellation occurs within 48 hours, but before the first day reserved. No refund will be made if the cancellation is made on the day of the reservation or anytime thereafter.
Reservation Phone Hours - You can call anytime, 7 days a week, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. from Apr. 1 - Oct. 31. Call Monday through Friday from Nov. 1 - Mar. 31. Our phone number is 303-421-6239, our toll-free # is 1-800-524-1814, and our fax number is 303-421-4807.
Club Office Hours - Stop by our office at 3805 Marshall Street, Suite 303, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday-Saturday Apr. 1 - Oct. 31 and Monday-Friday from Nov. 1 - Mar. 31.
Guests are Welcome - There is no restriction on the number of guests who are permitted on club waters. However, payment of the day rate charge must be made for each guest at the time of the reservation. All guests, or their legal guardians, must sign the guest agreement and send it to the club before the reservation date.
Individual/Family Membership - All memberships, except business memberships, are deemed to be family memberships. There is a one-time initiation fee of $350.
Business Membership - Memberships are permitted in business names. The one-time membership initiation fee is $725. Each key employee authorized to use the business membership must also pay the annual dues and complete the membership application. Each key employee will then receive his or her own copy of the property directory and a subscription to the club newsletter.
Annual Membership Dues - An annual fee is charged to each member to cover the cost of the property directory and newsletter subscription. The current rate is $100 per year.
Identity Disclosure - A member's identity will be revealed to others fishing the property that day if a request is made through the reservation office. Members are encouraged to discuss plans to minimize the disruption of each others fishing, and even to get acquainted if you wish. But remember, many join the club to get away from the crowds. Please be sensitive to other's desire for solitude.
Property is Patrolled - Club employees, authorized agents, and landowners will, on an irregular basis, check to make sure that only members and guests with valid reservations are using the property and that all members and guests are complying with the property regulations. Violation of any regulation will subject the member and guest to immediate expulsion from the property.
Respect Private Property - Each member and guest must agree to respect all rights of the property owners who are allowing us on their land and to be personally responsible for any damage caused on the property.
No Littering - Trash cans are not provided on club properties. Members and guests are expected to leave nothing on the property - this means every little piece of litter. The next member should find it as pristine as you found it. If you ever find a property trashed, please call the club office that day. We will know who fished the site last, unless there has been a trespasser. We will investigate and arrange clean-up.
Sanitation Facilities - These can be described in one word - "none". No smelly outhouses or port-a-potties. Please treat the area as you would a wilderness.
Fires Prohibited - Fires are prohibited on club properties unless otherwise noted in the property directory. A fire ring will be provided on any property were fires are permitted. Fires are not to be started outside of a designated fire ring.
Camping - Camping is prohibited on club properties unless specifically allowed. However, directions to nearby public and private campgrounds are provided in the property directory. Where overnight camping is permitted, camping areas are unimproved - no hookups, water, or bathrooms.
Membership Termination - RMAC reserves the right to terminate the membership of any member, without stated reason, by notifying the member of the termination and making pro-rata refund of the membership fee.
Rule Changes - RMAC reserves the right to change any of its rules, regulations, policies, or practices with written notice to the club members. Publication in the newsletter will be deemed an adequate written notice.
