| The flow was nice at about 140cfs, and the weather was ideal with temps in the upper 50s to lower 60s and cloudless. There was very little wind to contend with for the day. The fishing was TOUGH. Two of us ended-up catching under 20 fish total. Knowing this property as I do, that is a tough day here. There was a light baetis hatch at times, and no other bugs were seen. Numerous baetis emergers were tried with limited success. There were only two fish seen feeding in top. Fish were caught on golden stones; psycho prince, BH pheasant tail, pat's rubber legs, and a couple of other patterns. We switched flies A LOT, which is also something that you never need to do at this river when it is "on". Oh well, some days are tougher than others, right? |

| Decided to fish this instead of competing with the Memorial Day crowd on the Big T - Great day to be on the water. Started below the bridge and promptly caught 10 in a row on a dry dropper rig (Adams/BHPT). Moved upstream and caught a few more before changing to a new full rig nymph setup that I have been trying. Caught a few and missed several before going back to the dry dropper. Nice property to fish by yourself or with a buddy. |

| It was a great dry fly fishing day under partly cloudy skies and 50 degrees temps with minimal wind. Arrived at Noon and fished until 5 pm. Landed 12 trout, mostly browns from 10-12 inches on BWO Extended body #20 and Parachute Adams #20. Lots of other strikes but I was not skilled enough to hook them. BWO's were hatching in small waves for a few hours in different places. The folks at Kirks Flyshop in Estes helped with the fly selection. I tried some nymph fishing with some success but gave that up because who can resist surface fishing. Flows were good and water was clear. I tried the big pool near the downstream boundary for the first time. Saw a few large rainbows chasing each other around in the pool. They seemed to have other things on their mind aside from feeding. The pool had quite a few risers but I was unable to get a take. Overall, great experience. |

55 degrees, overcast, fished from 1-6pm. Water flow perfect and clear.
This one was too easy. BWO hatch from the moment I arrived. BWOs worked best for first few hours, then para Adams worked better as the grey seemed to be a perfect match in the light.
24 caught and released, another 5 or 6 lost, and a good 10 more missed plus a bunch refused. All but one on the surface (that said, I quickly ditched the dropper when I realized the bite was one). Steady feeding the whole time I was there. |

| Very productive day on this property. Wife and I fished this from about 9:30 - 2:30. caught about 3 dozen between the 2 of us. Mostly rainbows with a few browns. Wife had best luck on a # 20 RS-2. My results were about 50/50 on a #16 prince with a #20 RS-2 dropper. Both rigs fished with one BB slit-shot and the indicator placed about 2 feet above fly. |

| Very good day on the Big T, two of us fished it from 9 AM to 2:30 Pm with short break from lunch. Lucked out with good flows thanks to work on damn in Estes and releasing of water upstream. About 30 fish total for 2 people, mix of browns and 'bows in 7-13 inch range. Didn't see any activity on surface until last big hole at upstream boundary which looked like a fish parking lot. Unfortunately we couldn't figure out what they were sipping on top. Caught everything on nymphs and midges, mostly a red copper john trailed by size 22 purple/blue Cravens Poison Tung. Only had a few take the red cj. They also took a size 18 purple psycho prince but don't think they were very selective this trip. Saw a few mountain goats on Hwy 34 coming back down. Good day for sure! |

| Wife and I fished the afternoon . River was clear and low (46cfs). Saw lots of fish, but they were mostly not interested in what we offered. Did catch a few on top with midge imitations and 2 on midge nymphs. Hoked total of 5 = pretty slow for all afternoon, but still better than most other options for the day. |

| First time at this property. Nice flows with a BWO hatch and partly cloudy skies. Could see fish all around. Fished dry flies only: BWO #18 with 6x tippet. Kirk's flyshop had 2 BWO's left and that's all I used. I did not even try using nymphs. Lots of action from Noon till 4 pm then it all stopped. Mostly 10 inch rainbows and a few browns, one was 12 inches. After fishing public water on Boulder Creek/ St Vrain all summer this was glorious. Great day |

| Started about 11:00 am under cloud cover. Fished upper half. Limited success with Parachute adams on top and a 2-bit hooker below. Then we fished the lower half where there were fewer pools and more wide, shallower areas. Then the sun also came out. All told, with the low flows and the afternoon sun, it made for a tough fishing on the lower half. |

| Flow @ 153cfs both days, with air temps hitting mid-to-upper 80s by 11:00 prox both days....fished with my brother Terry, and fishing was good until the water warmed considerably each day, and it shut them down noticeably. On the water by 7:00AM both days.....Fished on Saturday late afternoon and picked-up some more fish after a passing rainstorm. Did not fish late into the evening. All that said, the river is in good shape. There is a red quill hatch that is substantial right now, and matching that thing was tough - until we went to Kirk's flyshop in Estes and asked for flies that are effective - AK Best adult; and a RS-2 variation in red. Got on them pretty good on Sunday morning. Caught both browns and rainbows.....also caught fish on Amy's Ant; foam beetles; various elkhair caddis patterns, etc. |

| Spent a full day fishing this property. Caught fish all day - at times with guests and the owners watching from the bridge. The hot set up was a dry dropper rig with a caddis and either BHPT or Rainbow Warrior. Caught a very nice brown just above the bridge on a caddis...nothing like a take on the dry! |

If I told you a 29 year old Polish born angler vacuumed fished for four hours on A19 last Saturday, you might assume that he was using some of those fancy new competitive European Nymphing techniques. The only thing correct in that assumption is European, in that he was using a 30 year old Hardy Bamboo Rod and he still has his accent after being here for 20 years. Single dry fly fishing as God intended with his own personally tied Royal Trudes. His partner (20 years his senior) fished American; indicator rig with a Girdle Bug, Rainbow Warrior, and pink SJ Worm. The takes were 85% on the SJ, 10% on the RW, and 5% on the GB. Total fish landed: in the 50s with more than that that never made it to hand or net. Pouring rain, 127 cfs, and 52 degrees water temp. Perfect conditions.

| Fished from 8:45 until 4:00. I caught well over a dozen fish (lost count). Vast majority were brown trout in the 10-12 inch size. A couple rainbow in the 12-14 inch range. Very little surface action. Caught almost every fish on a black zebra midge. Didn't have a single take on a variety of BWO dry fly patterns. Just below the downstream boundary (in public water) is a section with a very deep pool. I had two strikes there that broke off. These felt like I might have hooked on to somewhat larger fish. The property is fairly short but the location is really picturesque. |

| My brother Terry and I fished this property around the same date last April. What is that they say about the sequel? It's never better than the original. That was certainly the case yesterday as we only landed about 11 fish between us in about 5 hours of fishing. The flow had been more than doubled over the three previous days prior to our arrival, and the water temperature was a brisk 36 F. The air temps were in the 40s, and the sky had not one cloud in it. It felt more like late autumn, than it felt like spring. The fish were suspended in some of the deeper holes, and they were not feeding at all. They were visible in several spots, as they just hung out and sulked. Oh well, the weather was great, and it was still a good day! |

Then at about 6:30 the caddis starting coming off and it was in full bloom by 7. Best caddis hatch I have witnessed on the T. Got em on elk hair caddis (green) and Barr's graphic caddis as a trailer. Mix of bows and browns 6" to 13" or so. They were active until near dark. |

| Flow was dropped from about 500 cfs on Friday, down to 350 on Saturday, and then down to 250cfs on Sunday. Sometimes, you just hit it right, and we surely did. The fish were HUNGRY and the hatches never ending. There were caddis; PMDs; red quills; midges; the occasional drake; and the odd stone fly. The fish were looking up and we fished dry flies almost the entire weekend. My brother Terry did have a nymph below his dry fly at times, and that was effective as well. Caddis adults; foam ants; little H & L variants; rubber leg stimulators - you name it, they ate. Depending on what time of day it was, you would catch more browns than 'bows, and vice-versa. We had a great time and the Emersons (property owners) are quite nice! We are looking forward to hitting the river again this fall. |

| Fished the property for the afternoon and caught a lot of fish in the 10 to 14 inch range on BWO's and trailing black zebra. Water level and clarity was great and the fish were more than happy to jump on the line. Worked from the bridge to the upper end of the property and could have carried just extra BWO's & zebra's without need of the rest of the gear. The rainbows are finishing their spring spawn but you still need to be careful about where you step. |

| Air temperature was at 49F when my brother Terry and I arrived at 8:30AM. We were fishing by 9:30AM, and there were some midges. The sky was cloudy and threatening. We started at the deep hole just below the property boundary, and we caught a few in there. We fished until 2:30PM. Throughout that time the weather was a pure Rocky Mountain springtime buffet - clouds; heavy snow; light snow; sun; drizzle; rain; freezing drizzle; wind - you know the routine. It was great because the baetis "popped" big time! There were feeding fish in every spot that looked fishy, and we caught them on emergers; various adult baetis #18s; and small golden stonefly nymphs. MANY fish were caught by the two of us. The vast majority of the trout caught were rainbows. The fish in this river are BEAUTIFUL. There were a handful of cuttbows, and a few browns as well. All fish caught were in the 6" to 14" range. |

| Nice stretch of water. Fished from 2:00 to 7:00 PM. Lots of fish. Browns in the 8-10 inch range. A couple Rainbows in the 10-12 inch range. No hatches during this time and no surface activity. Fish were hitting a pheasont tail or hares ear dropper under a Stimulator. A few strikes on the Stimulator but most on the dropper. Not as much activity with just a double nymph rig. Lots of fish in the deeper holes at the downstream boundary. Nice landowner who is staying on the property for the summer. |

First time on this property. It's a great piece of water at the flow we fished it - around 100cfs? Perfect conditions. Two of us caught lots of browns and rainbows between 8"-12" with some larger rainbows. I used a green drake or H&L as a top fly/indicator with a hares ear dropper. 2 out 3 took the dropper. Pretty small property, but enough water for two people to fish all day if you work it slow or run through it twice. |

No large fish as is common for the Big T but got into double digits just in the afternoon. Nymphing w/ rainbow warriors and poison tung bead heads size 18 and 20, sow bugs (16 and 18) caught the largest browns in the 14 - 15 inch class. Most of the fish were in the riffles. |

It was a good fishing day, although I had to drive the long way through Estes Park to reach the A-19 property. Highway 34 just east of the property was closed due to a rockslide, but it re-opened in the evening before I left. The river was a bit high, but clear with a slight amber tint. The fish were active and I caught ten 8 to 14-inch trout, mostly in the shallows. There were sporadic BWOs on the surface and a few larger (#14) mayflies in the afternoon. I caught fish on a #18 parachute adams, on a large elkhair caddis that I was using to float nymphs, and on beadhead flashback pheasantails. I also caught four of them on a small black "waterdog" streamer (tied from my dog, of course) with a double beadhead. Check with CDOT or the State Patrol to see if Highway 34 is still open before you leave. |

Partly sunny and warm, started fishing around 12:15 and went until 6. 35 cfps. Happy Mothers day. BWO hatch off and on all afternoon, with fish becoming increasingly eager on the surface as the day wore on. Nymphs, epsecially small black ones (they were not choosey) were the best bet, but as usual the second I saw risers I went with a single dry. 18-20 bwo or simaller midges were the ticket.
Browns near the banks, rainbows in the riffles just where they are supposed to be. About 12-14 fish between us, most just before the bridge (big flat spot) and above it. BTW, the downstream bend just off the property (in front of the cliff) on the public water usually holds some decent fish down deep. |

| First time on this property. It's a nice stretch of water in the center of a bit more "civilization" than I prefer but actually pretty nice, with plenty of spots if you fish carefully and slowly, but a full day's worth only if you re-work the prime holes several times. Weather was not cooperative at all with spotty snow to start with at about 9 am and increasing to a full blown "fluffy" snowfall through the early afternoon - about 2" of accumulation by the time I left at 3 pm. Landed four small fish and turned a couple of better ones. First two on beaded stonefly trailed with a micro red-annelid (both on the bigger fly) and later ones on various streamers fished downstream and across due to the heavy snow. No direct indication of any insect activity in the snowstorm although just another 5* of temperatures might have made for a "perfect" early Spring day. |

| Great day on A-19, caught over a dozen; missed 18 - - I blame the winter break for the fish that got away. Ice shelves have receded to allow access to the majority of all pools - you do have to avoid small glaciers in the lower section as ice shelves drop into the river. The fish were at the head of the pools and taking small red midge patterns. |

Not a lot of size to these fish (largest was 14"), but I'll take the consistent action anyday. The water is starting to drop, and is calf-deep in some places. But fish were holding where you'd think they should be. Best flies were small dark emergers, black copper johns and dark stoneflies. Good luck! |

Most of the fish we caught were on Rojo midges and Olive Biot midge emergers with a couple on Princes as well. We didn't see any of the large browns, and only caught one brown between the two of us. | The fishing report from the Great Western Fly Fishing Company in Loveland versus the one from Front Range Anglers in Boulder were like night and day. The Great Western report was tantamount to having to beat the fish off of your hook, the Front Range one was much more subdued. Unfortunately the subdued report was more the reality. The day was fairly bright and starting at noon, I wasnt expecting much activity and I was right. Hoppers drew zero interest, size 16 elk hair caddis drew some interest in pocket water, and nymphs received the occasional knock. Although it took me some time to figure it out, there was a reasonable baetis hatch that had fish looking up. Unfortunately I didnt have any size 22 captive duns or emergers to capitalize on it. As the afternoon wore on the better fishing was in the lower flats. I tried a variety of attractors, terrestrials and parachutes, but the only fly that consistently produced was a light gray, size 16 sparkle dun. In fact my best fish of the day, a nice fat 14 brown fell to the sparkle dun. There were some actively feeding fish in the flats at the very top of the property but they were frustratingly picky. I caught a few on ants but size 20/22 midge pupa and PTs were all ignored. As the evening set in, fishing picked up with caddis. Size 14/16 olive and tan Improved X-Caddis were significantly more effective than X-Caddis or elk hair caddis. The best activity occurred in the water within 40 yards upstream of the bridge. As dusk set in, the lower half of the large pool really turned on with some decent rainbows caught. In total, I caught around 15 fish, most were in the 8 to 10 inch range, but I had a number of nice 13 and 14 inch rainbows and browns. However, this is such a nice stretch of water, particulary so close to my home, that it always makes for a good day. |

| This is a classic section of the Big T. It is more quiet than most as it loops away from the road. Stone fly hatch is starting here right now. Very nice runs and pools, plenty of fish, line and drift management is a must. Recommend this lease highly |

| This is another of the small jewels that the club provides. Fished for approximately 5 hours in the afternoon and had good luck. Caught several browns and rainbows in the 12 to 14 inch range and one cutbow in the same size class. Nothing bigger but did catch several more that were smaller. Initially, used a prince with a hairs ear dropper and caught fish on both. In early evening switched to an elk hair caddis with good results. My wife caught several on an Adams throughout the day. |

| Water levels were fine and the fishing was great. All that was needed was a prince nymph and a pheasant tail. Caught numerous rainbows 10-13 inches and a few 15-16 inch browns. Those of you who need to get a moving water fix during the high water may want to check this lease out. |

| Flow about 100 cfs. Little color, especially in the late afternoon but visibility still good. Water temp from 47 to 54 degrees. BWO's, caddis and midges were all on water but fish not looking up. Nymphing was very good with s16 WD40 and beadhead Flashback Pheasant Tail. Beautiful, healthy rainbows from 9 to 13 inches plus three nice browns. The rainbows are spawning so members should be careful where they walk. |

| First time on A19. Some great structure and a rich aquatic insect population. Unfortunately the river was full of moss as it was turning over from runoff from the recent spring snowstorm. It was a bright day but a few baetis were out. Not enough to create a rise, but enough to hold some of the bigger fish in prime feeding station. Tried a variety of baetis emergers in 20 and 22s, but all received refusals. Resorted to Czech nymphing and started to get some reasonable action; 6 landed another 6 nicked. All were rainbows, ranging in size from 12 to 14 inches with one 17 incher. I noticed in the afternoon, smaller fish were moving onto the flats along the edges, but few were actively feeding. I tried some naked pheasant tails, but only received some half hearted chases. I believe some cloud cover would have turned the river on. I may try it again next week after the moss settles out and rain is in the forecast. |
