| Two of us fished on a partly sunny/cloudy day.,high 60's low 70's. The water was running about 44 CFS and clear. We had a great day. In the AM we fished the lower stretch below bridge and on first cast my son caught a nice 14" rainbow on a #14 olive elk hair caddis. I nymphed using a #16 bead headed prince nymph and a # 20 flash back Barr's nymph. We both caught a 10-12 healthy rainbows,12-14" and several browns 6-8". In the afternoon we fished above the bridge and had similar luck each of us catching several rainbows in the 14-18" range. I switched to a small #14 hopper pattern and had good success and my son continued using the #14 olive elk hair caddis and was just as successful. Later in afternoon the action on top shut off and we switched to nymphs.#14-16 prince nymphs and #20 Barr's nymph and pheasant tails. A terrific day, each of caught 40+ fish! Met Gary & Jane Brightbill, the Santa Marie Ranch Managers. They were very friendly and we had some a nice visit. It is really evident they are passionate about the ranch and maintain it very well. |

| Another great day on the Middle Fork! Weather was overcast, cool and very windy. The River was a bit high and off color but excellent for fishing with Pat's Rubber Legs and Prince Nymphs. No hatches and no rises. Caught around 30 fish, mostly heavy Rainbows and a few Browns. Rainbows were between 14 and 17 inches with two in the 20-inch range. Browns were smaller and leaner. This is a wonderful stretch of River. |

| Fished this great property from about 9:30 to 2:30 and fooled around 20 fish. Fish ranged from 6" Brown to 19" Rainbow with most being 16" rainbows that looked pretty much alike. The flow and the weather were excellent at around 75, and water was very clear. I had a 5wt already rigged with an olive bugger so I walked the half dozen steps to the "Parking Lot Hole" in shorts and flip flops and after two casts had two 17" bows to the net. What a great start to the day. Most all the fish were caught on black or olive buggers, other things may have worked but I really prefer to throw the meat most of the time these days. I did throw a few dry flies even though there were no risers, and there were no takers either. I have caught some 20+ inch monsters on this property but no sign of them today. Best cath of the day was when I had both color streamers on at the same time and while I was landing a 16" bow on the olive(upper) fly an 18" bow right near my feet took the black(trailing) streamer....what a ride! |

| Nice morning on the River but clouded up with rain in the afternoon and temp dropped from balmy 57 F to around 45 F with wind and rain in the afternoon (didn't affect the fishing though) . Fishing was excellant and landed 40 fish by end of the day. Mostly heavy Rainbows in the 14 to 18 in range with a few nice Browns (one 22 inches). Three patterns used: Pat's Rubber legs, Red Copper John and Prince Nymph. Pat's was the most productive but Prince held it's own with the Copper John bringing up the rear. After the rain between 5:00pm and 6:00pm caught a fish on every other cast with the Pat's Rubber Leg. The water was just a touch off color with the flow around 70 CFS--perfect conditions. A wonderful property and experience. |

A years worth of weather in one day on A11-rain, hail, snow , wind and thankfully some sun. Fished the entire section with bigger fish below the bridge. Took many small browns ( 4-6") on #18 caddis. 3 fish on Daves Hopper one 16" bow and 3 great bows ( one 20 and one 17") on streamer ( Black WB). all fish is good form and fighting hard.
Santa Maria ranch is such a pretty spot that its worth going regardless of fishing success. |

Fishing below the bridge was excellent, caught about a dozen browns 10 to 14 inches with a couple of 16 inchers. They were hitting on a Parachute Madam X-dark green and brown under body. Tried going above the bridge but HIGH wind was hampering effective fishing. Good day, I will return. Perhaps going above the bridge early in the day would be better, the wind did not pick-up until about noon. Then fish below the bridge in the afternoon during High wind. |

Flow was up from earlier in the month. Flow was approximately 80 fps, which made the water cloudy. So tied on bright colors Egg Patterns, Orange, pink, white - Red San Juan Worm and Prince Nymph. Caught 7 trout, 6 Browns and 1 Rainbow. Rainbow was 16" the browns ran fro 10 to 14 inches. Most of fish were going for the Red San Juan and Prince Nymph, and white egg pattern Hopefully the water clears up bu most likely not until snow run-off. |

| Almost a ditto of the report above but this time I landed about 15 of the big rainbows. The flow is down a little from a couple of weeks ago so it was a little more traditional but it was still streamer, streamer, streamer. I tried hard to coax em up on hoppers but they just aren't very interested, even though the banks are full of hoppers. The flow is down a little so that probably helped. The last trip I didn't go below the bridge and it sounds like previous posters did'nt either. It is worth the trip, the stream improvements and big fish are there as well. If you can get up there on Tues, Wed, or Thurs(the only days RMAC has access) I would highly recommend this property. Geno |

| It's been a couple of years sinse I was here. The stream improvements are many. The flow today was a little high Don said 135cfs. That's a fishable number but anymore and it would be real tough. Like Chuck's report above I took several smallish fish from the bridge upstream to the cabin. Hopper copper setup mostly with only a couple taking the hopper. Mostly browns on this stretch 6 to 9 inchers and a few rainbows 11 to 14 inchers. On up to the large bend was pretty incredible with olive then black streamers. One large brown nearly 18 inches but I landed five big donaldson rainbows all on buggers. They all looked the same, just under 20" each and big fat slabs. These boys fight hard and are not afraid to go airborne. Had a great day and only fished 10 to 3 when thunder and lightning chased me home. Back in Lakewood for happy hour! What a Country! |

| Santa Maria ranch is as pretty a spot as you can find. Stayed at the cabin which is very nice and well stocked. Nothing like a sunrise over the mountains and the river 50 yards away. The fishing was fair to good. Mostly on top with adams (#18) and some caddis. Fish healthy with Bows predominant 8-12". No sign of Browns comming up yet. Stream improvements still going on. I think I liked the old stream better. |

| Hot, sun high, and got a late start. Water a little stained from rain the night before. Still a good day with red Copper Johns with rubber legs s14 on 5X tippet dropped from s12 stimulators with rubber legs. Good flow, maybe even a little high. Bridge up to even with the cabin caught lots of smaller fish. From the cabin up caught larger trout up to 19"-all browns. After 4:15 had a caddis hatch & saw 5-6 fish rising. Took a couple on tan Elk Hair Caddis. Did not fish below the bridge. With the deep holes best to use a setup with 6 feet of line to the dry and about 2 feet of tippet to the dropper. |

| This is truly one of the most beautiful properties that the RMAC has I believe. Absolutely gorgeous. The fishing was fair and possibly the fish were still leary because of the stream improvements being made earlier in the week. We did catch in excess of 12-15 fish each - mostly in the 8-12" range but I caught a feisty 15-16" Brown on a Streamer off a bank and my fishing mate lost a hefty one - easily 18" - snapped the 5X tippett as if it were nothing! Very nice day! |

| About as good as it gets in South Park. Light wind in the AM and a little stronger in the afternoon. Water level was moderate-low and very clear and cold. Great day of fishing with me and my guest catching 30 between us and losing about 10. Caught fish all over the property but the most productive ater was below the bridge to the lower property boundary. Amazingly almost all the fish were 15 inches or bigger and the best of the day was a fat 21 inch rainbow caught from under a bank. There are a lot of big fish in this stream! We caught mainly rainbows, with a couple browns and one nice cuttbow. Most of the fish were in the deeper pools and took San Juan worm, pink egg, or RS2. |

| Unreal South Park day on this great property, 60 degrees and sunny, little wind and HUGE fish. Most fish caught from below the bridge to the S. boundary. The big boys are stacked up in 4-5 holes. All caught on San Juan Worms as they produced 11 fish, five of which easily topped 20 inches. One Rainbow reminded me of a california steelie and could barely fit into my net. Will mark down an early October trip for next year for sure.. |

| The flow was good and the river fished well. The middle section has an abundance of small browns which proved to be a great experience for my 8 year old who is learning to fly fish. In early evening fooled 6 nice browns and 3 large rainbows on EHC # 14 with a Copper John or BHPT dropper. The cabin is a little pricey when you have three people (wife, kid & me ) but very well equipped and clean. |

| Weather was lousy but fishing was still pretty good. We were hailed on four times and rained on most of the day. Nonetheless, we caught 24 fish between the three of us. A few were 16 inches and a couple in the 18 and 19 inch range. The biggest for the day was a measured 23 and a half inch rainbow. Most fish were caught on nymphs (caddis emergers) and a couple on streamers. Only small fingerlings hit our dry flies. We met the owners (George and Merrill) and they invited us in during one of the hail storms (complete with lightning). The quality of this property is only exceeded by the graciousness of the landowners. |

| Great day of fishing inspite of the South Park wind. I caught three very nice brown trout and many very nice rainbows. The water was cold and a little off color and the flow was 74.0 cfs which is big for the middle for the fork. The flow made getting the fish to the net a bit more exciting since there was little slow water to bring the fish close to the net. I had to net them out in the current. The browns were next to the back as one would expect and the rainbows were out in the riffle. The bug of the day was a green Caddis pupa. I did catch large brown under the bridge but because there was so much more fishable water with the higher flow I did not fish under the bridge very long. I moved around so I could fish as much of the river as possible. The higher flow created a lot more holding areas. Overall a great day 20+ fish with the largest being a 22" 4lb rainbow. |

| Had a fair day on the 19th...12-15 fish, with 6 rainbows in the 18" plus range; largest aout 20. Several nice browns 8-12 inches. Most fish caught on a BH Caddis larva with a mylar flash, dropped under a #12 yellow stimulator. Caught a few on a dead drifted #10 flash-a-bugger. Went hi-vis due to water clarity or I should say lack of...about 10-12" of visibility. May 20 was a 2 hour waste of time due to runoff and 4-6" visibility. |

| Nice property -- lots of fish. Very low water meant that stealth was a must. I also think these fish have seen a lot of flies this summer: they were certainly wary of what we had to offer. They liked dries rather than anything wet, especially hoppers. Big fish in the shallow runs in the downstream portion of the property -- bit too early for spawners but , maybe ... Nice brown caught on a hopper on the last cast of the day, but otherwise, slow. |

Western coachman, yellow humpy, hopper w/ BHFBPT, BH red copper John, BH prince. These fish are fresh water Donaldsons, (Rainbows on steroids with a bad attitude) and are strong fighters. 5X tippett works if you let them run. |

| Beautiful property and a beautiful day. Caught three rainbows right away on a black wolly bugger, just below the parking area. Nice, healthy 16" fish, and very stong fighters. I headed up stream for the balance of the morning, throwing streamers with no success. My fishing partner fished under the bridge all moring, catching seven fish - 15" to 19" - on egg patterns. He lost several others. After lunch, we spent the afternoon fishing egg patterns in all the deep holes, both above and below the parking area, picking up another eight to ten fish in the 15" to 17" range. No bugs came off. I would love to fish this property when there is a good hatch, as there have to be a lot more fish than we were able to move. |

Changed to a hopper & dropper and success picked up noticably. Ended the day with about 15 fish with about 1/2 Rainbows and 1/2 Browns. Most all the Rainbows were nice sized while the Browns were on the small side with only one over 12". Any stonefly nymph up to a size 10 caught fish. | This was my first time on this lease. It isn't as productive as A-10 but still fun. It is remote and very beautiful. The 3 MAJOR thunderstorms of the previous afternoon and evening made the water very off color until mid afternoon. The long straight run above the bridge fishes very well at this water level. Lots of water to cover here. 4 of fished the entire property with the bottom and top producing the best results. Only fished dries. Averaged 15 fish each. Mostly Browns but some very nice Rainbows. The largest was a 19" Brown that slammed my #10 Para Hopper. I also landed a 16" native Cutthroat!! Hoppers, hoppers hoppers all worked with #10 - #12 Dave's and Para Hoppers working the best. Any properly placed Attractor pattern brought up fish. Bring your bug spray!! The public water above the property fished well also without any other anglers. I don't think that it gets much pressure. The public water below gets lots of pressure. Fish all the grassy banks and cut banks for the Browns and be ready to set. |

Most were rainbows, one as big as 16". The property has lots of nice runs and is very fun to fish. A day is about all you need to cover all the water well. |

| FIRST ONE TO FISH IT. Will be a very nice property in the summer. Water was murky but still caught about a dozen fish all on nymphs. All browns from 8-15 inches. Fun day |
